The Growing Challenge of Developing and Stewarding High-Quality Epidemiologic Datasets
Abstract: Over the past decade, the rise of big data has enabled increasingly sophisticated epidemiologic analyses. Yet the continued growth of this model—particularly in the United States—faces substantial legal, logistical, and technical headwinds. In this talk, I will discuss several emerging challenges in developing and stewarding high-quality epidemiologic datasets, drawing on my ground-level experience leading consortium-based projects and serving as PI of the PLCO cohort.
